Catch Phrase:"It's the end of the world as we know it!"

What the box says:It's 2019 A.D. The nuclear holocaust is over. Now only small bands of humans and mutants live in scattered clans and barely scrape out an existence. No one is blameless in this disgraceful demolition of the earth, but the futuristic tribe of the Templates vow to purify the land with blood of their enemies. Follow the explosive action and nonstop warfare as the end of the earth seems inevitable unless someone can stop The New Barbarians.

What I say about the box:Everything about the box says low budget and it's kind of odd how the main character is not pictured anywhere on the box. Based on that description the movie is just another cheesy post-apocalyptic movie. For that fact, I could not wait to watch it.

My review:On the contrary this movie has a unique feel of its own. Sure it follows all of the basics like sand-wasteland-getto with people in strange cars and odd clothing, but it adds its own feel to those elements. The main character isn't exactly a "good guy" because at first he is just trying to stay alive. A group called the Templates try their best to kill him a number of times and do capture him once. The hero's friend helps him get away and they plot their revenge on the Templates. It's almost like an old western movie and he even has the poncho and everything, well until he takes it off and displays his bullet proof clear plexiglass armor. Extremely stylish and oh-so-protective, it allows him to triumph over the evil Templates.

In Summary, surprisingly well done for what it is. If you want some action and comedy (not intentional most likely) this may be something to look into.
